Hi guys. I’m baaaack.  So, as I’m sure you’ve imagined, my baby blog was short lived. Unfortunately, I miscarried in October. We found out that there was no baby on our 12 week scan and I had to have surgery to remove the sac (which was dated at 7 weeks old). It was a common miscarriage, although we were told it could’ve been a molar pregnancy.  So, where are we now? We’re back to trying again. In fact, I’m writing this during a waiting game... I could be pregnant right now! My body seems to be feeling like it is, but I’m worried that it’s just because I want to be - and so, I’ve got to try not to get my hopes up!

Stats: 10w +3 Cravings: none Aversions: everything! So I did post last week but the Blogger app apparently didn’t save it... it was a moany post so you didn’t miss much! I will be posting more frequently though.  On Monday, I registered with the midwife at the hospital. For those who haven’t done this before, they get you to fill in a bunch of questions about you, your partner, your family’s history. They take your blood to test for HIV and the like. They test your pee. They take your height and weight and just generally advise you.  You have to take your A4 sized book everywhere  as a just in case measure - in case you’re travelling or whatever and you need to seek medical help for you and your jellybean.  All fine for me but, as I’m slightly overweight, I need to up my folic acid and vitamin D. My pee showed a urine infection, so they’ll probably put me on antibiotics at the end of the week. Nothing to be too concerned about.  These last couple of weeks I have...

Stats: 9w +3 Cravings: none Aversions: (the smell of) fruit cider, (the thought of) chip shop chips Goodness me, I feel like crap today. I slept a solid 12 hours, woke up and felt like I needed to sleep some more. My entire body is shattered. D has had to keep the dog entertained and I’m so thankful that I work from home and can do things in my own time, at my own speed.  We’ve just come back from holiday so I’m battling jet lag alongside pregnancy fatigue this week. I don’t know how I’m going to get to the hospital to register with the midwife at 8am on Monday morning. The hospital is about half an hour’s drive and I got up at 11am today.  I feel constantly nauseous too. I’m quite lucky, I’ve only thrown up once during this whole pregnancy and that was because of a strawberry (I know...) but today, I feel pretty travel sick, as I lay stationary on my sofa.  Yesterday, I had stomach issues after eating some spaghetti carbonara.  I keep telling D that the baby hates m...

Stats: 8w +3 Cravings: anything chocolate Aversions: cheese, cigarette smoke So, here we go. The introduction blog. Probably the hardest one I’ll write but it’ll all make sense as to why I’m writing it when it’s written. Keeping up so far? As you can tell already by the blog name, the domain name, the stats at the top, I am pregnant. 8 weeks pregnant. But I didn’t ever think I’d get here at all. Let’s take you all the way back, to 17 year old me... *harp montage flowy daydreamy music* My periods had always been terrible. To the point where they’d make me faint and my Mum didn’t know what else to do so decided to keep me off school for the worse days. Eventually, it was taken upon the doctor or my Mum or both (my memory is very hazy!) to get my womanly parts scanned, to see if there was any other type of problem which could’ve been affecting me. And there I was. Diagnosed with polycystic ovaries. The ultrasounder claiming that the chances of me having a baby were very low as I h...
